Optimized for high pressure bike tires (Max 160 PSI) - performance tested & calibrated accurate to ANSI B40.1 standards (1.5% Mid Scale), ensuring quick & accurate pressure readings without relying on batteries (for use on Presta valves only, NOT compatible with Schrader valves). Robust & versatile design is equipped w/ interchangeable air chucks to fit both bicycle presta and/or schrader valve stems features built-in air bleeder valve to reduce pressure in overinflated tiresįeels sturdy in the hand & built from solid brass shielded by our rugged gear-style protective shock guard features flexible no-leak air hose to easily get in between the spokesĪ MUST HAVE for your bike tool kit - FREE 100% Lifetime Satisfaction Guarantee by JACO Superior Products (for any reason) when you order today, so click "Add to Cart" with confidence & enjoy better performance & traction w/ properly inflated tires! Larger, 2" glow-in-dark dial features easy-to-read dual measurement scale 0-60 PSI / 0-4 BAR, providing accurate readings that "lock" in place until the pressure reset button on the brass neck is pressed For my purposes, I give this product a vote of high confidence.BIKERS TRUST JACO GAUGES - Performance tested on the trail & calibrated accurate to ☑.5% with ANSI certification at our NIST approved facility, ensuring precise pressure readings without relying on batteries - designed for mountain bikes, cars, trucks, & SUVs This gauge is supposedly calibrated to industry standards, so I trust it more than the readings given by the floor pumps and the TPM. Using the TPM (tire pressure monitor) on my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek (which reads all 4 wheels independently), I found the TPM reads 2psi lower on all 4 wheels when the tires are Inflated to 35psi using the gauge. Inflating my bike tires to 100psi using two different floor pumps with built-in gauges ( a Bontrager and a Topeak Joeblow), I found one pump consistently low by 4psi, the other consistently high by 1-2psi. Lacking lab grade instrumentation, I can't vouch for absolute accuracy. Both chucks allow a quick measure of air pressure WITHOUT lots of air escaping when attaching or removing the chuck. No tools are needed to swap chucks just twist the threaded chuck with your fingers. All said along with its rugged looks and seeming robust build quality, it should provide a long useful life, or so I hope.Ī product that really does what it's supposed to do reliably! I've used the Shrader chuck to check my car tires, and the Presta chuck for my road bike. As far as accuracy's concerned, it's at least as accurate as other gauges I own if not more so. Similar to other air pressure gauges on the market today, it has a very useful pressure release button that at least for me, allows for a more accurate and less rushed reading of the gauge. Also, the Schrader air chuck when used in combo with the air hose that's attached made checking tire pressure on my vehicles easier and far less fussy as compared to all my other pressure gauges. The pressure gauge in addition to arriving in a well packaged shipment turned out to be a genuine pleasure to use which is mainly for its Presta air valve compatibility (for my bicycles' wheels with Presta valves). Having purchased and received this a couple of weeks before even opening the package, it dawned on yours truly it might be a good idea to check it out before its 30 day return window closed no worries as it turned out.
